Tarf donned pink jerseys as part of a fund raising exercise for Action Breast Cancer on their final home outing of the season.
The home side started well and were 3-0 up after only a minute with Martin Dufficy landing a penalty after a UL infringement.
A great break from scrum half Erwan Legendre nearly reaped its reward, however his offload went to the UL Bohs player and the chance was lost.
UL then went in front with a well worked try, with the Clontarf defence sucked in, out half JJ Hanrahan sent a perfect cross-field kick to the wing and Darren Moroney touched down. Hanrahan converted as Bohs took a 7-3 lead.
Clontarf responded just five minutes later, when confusion in the away sides defence allowed Dufficy to score a try in the corner after a chip and chase. The former U20 international also landed the conversion as the lead changed again.
UL were reduced to 14 players for ten minutes after one of their forwards was binned for use of the boot and Clontarf increased their lead when centre Killian Lett broke through to dot down in the corner. Dufficy was narrowly off target with the conversion.
The game’s turning point came after 53 minutes, when Clontarf through Michael Keating touched down near the posts, but due to an earlier infringement, the score was disallowed and lock Ben Gissing was sent to the bin and the Limerick side then took over for the remainder of the game.
Bohs scored their second try of the game through Ed Torrie and Hanrahan leveled matters with seven minutes left with a penalty.
Try as they might Clontarf couldn’t break through a much improved UL defence and David Moloney stole the win with a try in the corner as Tarf suffered their first home AIL defeat of the season on the penultimate day.
