It is with deep shock and sadness that the Leinster Rugby community learnt of the passing of our refereeing colleague and friend Paul Cusack on Wednesday night..
Paul was the life and soul of our refereeing family. He always had a joke, a wise quip or a friendly word for everyone. He was warm and funny and an all-round great guy.
His passing has left an empty feeling and a lot of sadness amongst his refereeing colleagues this morning. He will be sadly missed.
Leinster Rugby Referees President Jim Breen wishes to extend his sympathies to Paul’s family on behalf of the association.
Funeral arrangements will follow.
